We just received this update on Margarette Haubrich, the wife of PASG Bruce Haubrich (Dated 9/5/2009):

Marge is doing very well and has been moved out of ICU into general care at St. Lukes, room L6425. She is doing great and has no residual effects from the aneurysm. Due to possible chances of a delayed spasm they will keep her at least another week, maybe a total of 21 days. We were told that she was extremely lucky to get treated as soon as she did as a third of these arrive DOA and another third get there too late to save.

Thank you for all the prayers and cards, she has gotten 77 cards to date and
she really enjoys them.

Below is our original story:

On Tuesday, August 25, Margarette Haubrich, the wife of PASG Bruce Haubrich, underwent an operation for an aneurysm in her brain.  The following is an update from Bruce.

Hi all, Margarette is doing very well so far, we were lucky to get her operated on in less than 24 hours after first symptoms.  Started with a severe headache and pain in neck while doing the laundry from our trip to Green Lake Jamboree. She had an aneurysm/stroke but had no paralysis or loss of any motor functions. Operated on at 3 pm Tuesday by a highly respected surgeon who is a pioneer in method used. She was doing very well Wed and reminded me to take out the garbage at home, so I know she is almost back to normal. Has to stay in bed and under observation due to possible complications due to the blood that seeped into the brain (Vasospasm risk) which they can treat if it occurs. All looks very good so far with no loss of memory, speech, or motor functions. She is in St. Luke's Medical Center, room 1421 in ICU. 2900 Oklahoma Ave Milwaukee WI 53215. Cards can be sent to her at home 5015 Harrison Rd Kenosha, WI 53142. Keep her in your prayers.
